This was John Lewis’ first combined Waitrose and JL development. The requirement was for the project to be all LED and have a target of 12W/m2 for the Waitrose and John Lewis stores. This meant developing a range of adjustable spotlights, wall washers, track spots and ambient luminaires to meet the tight specification. The energy levels were met whilst maintaining the ambience and punch required in both the supermarket and home store.
This project birthed the Triteq, which fits all conventional 600 square grid ceilings and has targeted light spread in both axial and transverse directions.
Being one of the first stores to benefit from LED light sources, we were able to achieve their targeted low energy consumption whilst retaining good light levels.
