PIZZA EXPRESS REDHILL
Redhill’s new PizzaExpress offers more than great food. The restaurant atmosphere shifts with the time of day: bright and welcoming at lunchtime, then softer and more intimate in the evening. Lighting plays a quiet but decisive role, bringing murals, textures, and seating areas to life while keeping guests comfortable and free from glare.
To achieve this balance, Edge Lighting supplied the Traqer S3C track system and Traqer Mini spotlights. Multiple circuits give the flexibility to change ambience throughout the day, while compact fittings provide precision without intruding on the design.
The scheme works in the background, shaping the dining experience without drawing attention to itself.
The restaurant was officially opened in July by the Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead, marking a milestone moment for the town as well as the brand.
OUR APPROACH
The system was designed around two priorities: flexibility and subtlety. The track provides the framework for varied moods, while the mini spotlights bring definition to artwork, architecture, and seating areas. Their discreet profile ensures the interiors remain the focus, with the fittings quietly doing their work overhead.
By day, the space feels open and energised. As evening arrives, it transitions into a warm and inviting setting. This adaptability underpins the dining experience, making the restaurant feel right at any moment.
