Edge Lighting transformed Garsington Studios in Wormsley with a variety of bespoke lighting solutions, perfectly blending with its multifunctional design and picturesque surroundings.

Designed as a multipurpose space, the Studios have been built sympathetically to their surroundings in the rolling Chiltern Hills. With sustainability and practicality in mind, alongside beautiful design, they are establishing an important hub for art and culture in Buckinghamshire. We are proud to have provided the lighting for this innovative and inspiring venue.

The Studios feature two large triple-height (8.5m) spaces with galleries for technical alterations and uninterrupted viewing, one of which includes retractable bench seating for over 200 people. Both studios measure 23m x 15m, matching the size of the opera pavilion stage. Additionally, there is a third double-height (5.5m) studio equipped with dual aspect windows, a sprung dance floor, and a mirror wall, measuring 16m x 10m. Several adjoining smaller rooms serve as production offices across the ground and first floors, complemented by five dedicated practice and coaching rooms.

Linteq 75 – We supplied 12m seamless runs of our Linteq 75, in the rehearsal rooms. These were designed to nest within the steel’s width, ensuring comfortable ambient lighting that complements the sophisticated design of the space.

Drumteq Maxi:
To further complement the lighting in the rehearsal rooms, we supplied our Drumteq Maxi’s. This was to supplement lux levels effectively while minimizing glare with it’s unique triple anti-glare design, creating an optimal environment for performance and rehearsal.
