Situated in the heart of London’s premier shopping district, John Lewis’ flagship store required a facelift to keep up with the forever evolving retail scene.

This large refurbishment covered the 2nd and 3rd floors of the store. Opting for the Philips crisp white SLM LED, offered a complimentary mix of excellent colour rendition and warm atmosphere associated with Warm White LEDs, whilst bringing out whites just as efficiently as a Cool White LED. This replaced the existing Ceramic Discharge (CDM-T) lighting with approximately 55% energy reduction.

A new feature introduced into the store include their ‘sleep room’, which helps customers design their own bedroom, a new way of thinking for the retail giant. This interesting section of the third floor was to be lit differently to accent decor, text and wall designs, whilst picking out the products to maintain a bright and vibrant atmosphere.
